Influencing Native Americans With the Gospel

Originating from a season of prayer and fasting for America, The Native American Initiative (NAI) is a ministry effort of Geobound developed to provide Biblical awakening and leadership training among Native American communities. This training enables them to join in the crucial role of evangelism. The NAI actively promotes a spiritual harvest among America’s tribal nations and communities with its primary objective of establishing Fellow Laborers In The Gospel (FLITG).

In pursuit of Biblical training for this initiative, Geobound received authorization from Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas to utilize The Bible Training Series as a discipleship resource for the Native American Initiative. Through The Bible Training Series, Geobound intends not only to provide discipleship training, but to develop leadership course that trains Fellow Laborers In The Gospel expressly for the NAI

In 2017, Geobound ministry strategically relocated to the Cherokee Nation in Northeastern Oklahoma, the largest numerically and federally recognized tribe in the US. The purpose for this move was to demonstrate a commitment to minister to the residents of this tribal nation in various capacities:

  • Engage in the work of the harvest through discipleship, Bible training, and leadership training

  • Earnestly pray for the Native American people

  • Actively seek to understand the Cherokee’s unique culture and language by promoting the renewal of the Bible in Cherokee

Ministries, homes, and Fellow Laborers In The Gospel (FLITG) are encouraged to participate in the NAI among the 574 distinct Native American nations. It is important to note that the NAI is not an organization itself; rather, it is a ministry effort of Geobound that brings together like-minded workers, homes, and ministries. These individuals and entities act independently as they serve Native American communities.
