Passing of the Baton

Eldon & Donna Bryce

David & Francie Markham

Founders of Feed A Child, Eldon & Donna Bryce, embarked on their Haitian adventure in 1983, with the help of David Markham. He traveled with them and assisted them with their move to Haiti. Since then, David was the “brother” that continued to support them financially, prayerfully and traveled to participate in many of their endeavors in Haiti.

Over the past forty-two years, the Bryce’s established churches, schools and orphanages, provided meals to children and families, preached Gospel crusades, built homes, drilled water wells, founded an evangelism school, offered medical clinics, ran a radio ministry, and presented the Gospel in all of these endeavors.

Since the passing of Eldon on January 18, 2025, and Donna’s retirement in January of 2025, David was named the new director of Feed A Child.  He will be combining the forces of Feed A Child with a partner ministry in Haiti, Love A Child, in order to feed as many children and families as possible. Food will be distributed, hope will be shared, and lives will continue to be saved in Jesus’ name.

Eldon and Donna Bryce laid the foundation, now David Markham, “brother” in the faith, is moving the ministry forward. It’s a beautiful continuation of compassionate ministry to the precious people of Haiti.

New heart for the Haitian People:

“In 1982, I had a vision of black people with outstretched arms crying out for help and I heard in my spirit ‘Haiti.’ I looked up where Haiti was located. Two weeks later, I saw an article in the local newspaper about Eldon and Donna leaving their church they pastored in Coffeyville, Kansas, and moving to Haiti as missionaries. I went to meet them and asked if I could help them with their move. I traveled along on their first trip and fell in love with them and with the people of Haiti. I have, since then, made well over a hundred trips over the last forty-two years assisting them with medical clinics, building churches, starting Christian schools with feeding programs, supporting pastors and orphans, holding crusades and ministering in churches across the nation. Now that Eldon has gone to heaven and Donna has retired, I am carrying the ministry of Feed A Child forward upon their request.” - David Markham
