What About The Native American Initiative - NAI?

We moved to the Cherokee Nation in 2016 by the Lord’s direction. The goal was to establish the Native American Initiative as a spiritual avenue specifically for Native Americans to engage in Biblical Awakening and leadership training. So, stepping out in faith almost a decade ago, has culminated in developing a prayer initiative, bible training materials, and gradual immersion in the culture and pace of NE Oklahoma. We have found that slow movement, relationship building and remaining steadfast has been the key to growing a reputation here. We have been welcomed among the people through our attendance in Cherokee language classes, church “singings” and compassion ministry.

In the last six years, Rod has worked part-time as a hospice chaplain. His territory includes four counties of the reservation and the Cherokee Nation headquarters in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. For several of those years, he has had the privilege of ministering to Native American patients and their families. Rod has formed very warm friendships with many. These families have benefited from the compassionate care and prayer. Rod has also had the opportunity to lead many in the saving knowledge of the Lord.

We have been unwavering in the direction the Lord gave us. We have carried out the strategies the Lord revealed to us. We are confident that the Lord will pour out His Spirit among Native Americans. We are positioned to reap the harvest of the awakening to come.

Moving forward,
Celeste
