About the Groomers

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Rod Groomer grew up in the Texas Panhandle and West Texas. Celeste was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Both are 1985 graduates of Christ For The Nations in Dallas, Texas, where they met and married soon after graduating.

Rod also has earned a Bachelor of Theology Degree, a Masters Degree in Theology and Christian Business Management, as well as a Doctorate of Ministry Degree. Rod and Celeste are both licensed and ordained with Christ For The Nations Fellowship of Ministers and Churches (FMC).

Rod has served for nearly 16 years as Christ For The Nation’s Missions Major Director and Professor, the International Ministries Director, provided executive oversight over CFN’s Publishing/Magazine/Bookstore departments, and served on the President’s Council. Rod has been a contributing author to the Christ for The Nations Magazine writing the 11th Hour column articles.

Celeste served as Christ For The Nation’s Alumni Director and as the International Ministries Assistant Director. The couple recently returned to the mission field to assist in the Native American Initiative with Geobound.

In the past 30 years both Rod and Celeste had traveled to numerous nations and have served in various ministry capacities in the States and abroad as: missions school director, Bible School teachers, missionaries, associate & youth pastors, Christian school principal and teacher, cell group pastors, missions coordinator and board members.

Married for nearly 32 years, the Groomers reside in the heart of the Cherokee Nation in Northeastern Oklahoma and enjoy serving in ministry with their adult children
