Ministry. Upon conclusion of their studies, they worked at Victory Love
Fellowship in Albuquerque, are both graduates of Willy & Lindy New
Mexico for 2 ½ years, before the Lord birthed in their hearts a desire to
return to South Africa. This was in the beginning of 2003. This was the
also the start of UTB Ministries.
Willy, a native South African, and Lindy, a missionary’s daughter,
moved back to South Africa, Statement is “training up tomorrow’s
leaders today”. In line with that vision, their son Jesse William was
born 12 September 2008.
Immediately upon relocating in South Africa, they became involved
with a local church in Mafikeng, South Africa. It soon became
apparent that there was a great need for education in Mafikeng, as well
as in the rest of South Africa. In 2004, they helped to start Ebenezer
Christian School, beginning with Grades 4 & 5 and only 16 students.
In the successive years, Grades 6 & 7 were added. This year, Grade 8 was
added to assist with the shortage of available space in the schools.
Currently, Ebenezer Christian School has Grades 4–8, with 80 children
enrolled.
The curriculum of Ebenezer Christian School is inundated with the
Gospel, and there are many testimonies of students giving their hearts to
the Lord. The school’s main goal is to impact and influence
children with the Gospel. The curriculum is also infused with a high
standard of education.
Over the next couple of years, the curriculum of the other grades will
transition to A.C.E. (Accelerated Christian Education), a Christian
curriculum from America that has been modified for South Africa. Grade
8 began this year with this curriculum, and gradually the other grades
will begin using it as well, as it is completely Word-based.
In addition to the activities involving the School, Willy & Lindy are
involved with various outreaches of Ebenezer Christian Church. Some
of these outreaches, which focus on family are men’s camps, ladies
meetings and so forth. Willy is also active in assisting other churches,
where needed.
The vision of UTB Ministries is not only to minister in South Africa,
but also in the southern parts of Africa. Relationship has been built that
provides opportunity to go into areas of Mozambique, Malawi and other
neighboring countries to help plant churches, raise up church
leadership and encourage pastors in rural areas.
